sorry for not posting. As you might know,
I just got home from Paris and im kinda settling down.
But let me tell you... PARIS IS FRICKIN AWWWSOME!!
Its the center of the world :]
I didn't know I would get all inspired and shit.
Now the world its a smaller place haha...
(im now a few steps closer to conquer it muahaha)

Paris is "THE" scene for the arts and cool music,
there is no weekend without a show or an exhibition.
My appartment was in the 1er arrondissement ♥ (imagine that!!)
near the Opera Garnier and the Louvre.

While I was living over there,
I discovered great bands and artists and I've also starded MeLikey,
I made good friends who I now work with... (sick huh!?)

We are gnow offering a STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM IN PARIS for next Summer 2010
offering different packages at a reasonalbe price.
Also, you can qualify for an optional payment plan upon request

Packages have from just living in Paris, to going to French classes (textbooks included), and excursions to castles and other places like Amsterdam, Germany, Italy... u call it ;]

Que tal gente,¿como están? Espero muy bien y cerca de una buena cerveza y música sabrosa, como yo.. claro, si no es mucho pedir.
Bueno es esta ocasión quisiera compartir con ustedes una buena bandita que en lo personal me gusta mucho, estoy hablando de Orishas, una agrupación cubana que curiosamente nace en Europa, resulta que dos de sus integrantes (Yotuel y Ruzzo) participando en un intercambio estudiantil, llegan a parís y en ese trip se encuentran con los demás (Roldan y a Flaco-Pro) y forman la banda en 1999, mezclando música cubana con rap, sacando su primer disco llamado: A lo cubano. Después de este primer disco la agrupación se recorta a tres, pero le siguen metiendo gozadera y buen hip hop a sus melodias.
Sus letras se caracterizan principalmente por mucha añoranza a su país natal (cuba) pero combinando también sus ideologías de cómo vivir la vida.
Estos señores son por excelencia unos de los mejores representantes del rap cubano, sin dejar a tras sus raíces musicales, como el son, el guaguancó y mas estilos que fusionan para crear la atmósfera perfecta de acorde de una buena fiestota pa´ ponerse a bailar con chicas de la manera mas seductora posible (con todo respeto).
Asi que aquí les dejo estos videítos para que chequen de qué hablo, espero que cuando los vean y escuchen entiendan mejor mis líneas anteriores, estoy seguro que si.

Ok les presento a Mr. Scruff, es un DJ originario de Inglaterra, su nombre es Andy Carthy , estudio arte fino, y definitivamente esto respalda toda su música y trabajo artístico como una exisita mezcla de de ritmos y géneros, desde algunos sonidos africanos, hasta el soul, funk, smooth, lounge, bossanova, acid jazz entre otros, simplemente no tiene limites.

Como lo habrán percibido en mi primer post, soy gran fan de la imagen, y Mr. Scruff complemente este arte también, es creador de sus propios videos de animación, ha elaborado todo un mundo de caricatura alrededor de su música, sus dibujos son realmente divertidos y agradables, nos refieren realmente a un mundo en donde deberíamos vivir, lleno de alegría y carente de preocupación.
Les recomiendo ampliamente que escuchen a este gran DJ, vale la pena, sus canciones te dan ambiente, incluso hay una que otra que pueden agregar a su play list de momentos seductores, créanme les puede servir de mucho crear su atmósfera musical, si señor!... y no olviden bailar si sienten el sabor.

Ok so I'm gonna post something a little different. Here's a medley of 'new' songs that I think are worth listening, you can hear 'em before downloading.

1. Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition This song makes me think of 500 Days of Summer. I dont think I need to say more. Gotta love it.
2. Crookers - Business Man (Black Noise Means Business Remix) I really like this song, not because I'm a 'business' man but because it has siiick beats hahaha what a dork, anyway, you'll agree. You cant ever go wrong with the Crookers. Automatic party song.
3. Phoenix - Listzomania (DSL Remix) Okay Phoenix has become (officially) a 'classic' for me. Their last album was fucking incredible (I'll be posting that one later) and of course I will take ANY opportunity to post any song from them. Sigh.
4. Thao Nguyen - When we Swam 'Oh bring your hips, Oh, oh bring your hips, oh bring your hips to me, to me.'
5. Vivek Shraya - Fevered This was seriously my favorite song for the summer, I just recently discovered this artist and I find him extremely charming and original. ' Hey baby I love when you bruise from exhau-sting meee...'
6. The KDMS - Never Stop Believing (Munk Club Edit) It's funky, its retro, its techno.
7. Miike Snow - Cult Logic this song is living proof that nothing is what it seems (just listen to it)
8. Vampire Weekend - Everywhere This is a cover of Fleetwood Mac and I think that they totally made it theirs, it has such a good vibe to it.
9. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance Okay, okay DONT JUDGE. I'm so fucking sick and tired of Lady Gaga but this song is really cool hahaha its my newest public guilty pleasure. So here ya go. (even if you cant preview it it sounds fine when you download it)
10. Girls - Laura This song made me think of one of my really good friends. This one's to you, love.
11. Friendly Fires - I'm good, I'm gone (Lykke Li Cover) I love Lykke Li, who doesn't really? And I love how this cover turned out, it totally complements her voice, and its really different from the original version.
12. NIN - Discipline The beat of this song is ridiculous, they just keep getting better and better.
13. Kaiser Chiefs - Never Miss a Beat (Yuksek Remix) I'm hooked on this one... hook'd!!!!

Hola !
Antes que nada quisiera presentarme formalmente: Hello que tal mucho gusto.
Bueno basta de formalidades.
Ya que recibí la invitación para escribir en este blog haré lo que pueda para traerles buena información acerca de música. Lo que creo que pueden esperar de mi, es un poco de sonidos sabrosones fusion, con esto me refiero a que escucharán muchas tendencias latinas fusionadas con otros ritmos, otras melodías y géneros distintos, espero que les agrade.

En esta primera ocasión, les presento a X Alfonso, un músico cubano muy bien preparado, estudiado en la Escuela Superior de Arte en la Habana, ha experimentado con muchos ritmos como, el hip hop, el son, funk, gospel entre otros. Sus letras hablan acerca de su país, creo que eso es una tendencia en Cuba por la situación política que viven, pero me gusta por que tiene un enfoque de aliento hacia la vida y sus melodías simplemente te hacen bailar, mover el hombrito, la cabeza con una expresión de: Mira nomás que rico suena! Y a gozar..

X Alfonso también se ha interesado en la imagen, el video y el sonido como un conjunto para expresar musica con sonidos muy ordinarios, como los ruidos de la vida diaria, los oficios, juegos etc. Considero que de igual manera es importante conocer a este artista desde su trabajo visual al que le a dedicado la ultima parte de su trayectoria presentando documentales y dirijiendo sus videos, y para que entiendan lo que estoy diciendo les presento estas imagenes de X Alfonso que en lo personal me encantan, disfrútenlo.
